INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY AT TROF

07.03.2018 Author — TROF

Trof’s women are pretty exceptional all year round but this International Women’s Day we’ve decided to shout about it.

We’ve got a tight knit family of head strong, ambitious divas who are ready to take over the world.

You might know them as the lush babes who sort out your Sunday morning hangover but there’s so much more to these girls.

Let us introduce you to the women who make Trof tick!

Matilda

What’s been your worst style mistake?

Letting my Mum decide what I should wear and letting her cut my hair for me. No offence to my Mum or anything! And also I think trying to follow early high school trends and trying to fit in with everyone’s style but doing it badly.

Where is the best place you’ve ever been?

Ooo, probably Singapore because it was really nice and hot. My Stepdad worked there for a while so me and my Mum would go out and spend some time there. Its really pretty, the buildings are really nice and the people are lovely.

What 3 things can’t you live without?

Urm, my make up, my bed and my comb

Jaz

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Hmm probably listening to really bad dancehall music and trying to dance real sexy in my room which I didn’t think I’d tell everyone but now you all know.

What’s your most treasured possession?

My rats! They’re called Peach and Pumpkin and I love them so much! They’re squishy and lovely and they can do lots of tricks.

Where do you think you’ll be in 10 years time?

I hope I’ll be happy. So I hope whatever I’m doing, I’m happy doing it. I’d like to think I’ll have done my masters and my PHD by then and I’ll be on my way to being a lecturer. But who knows, things might change by then and I might be doing something completely different. But as long as I’m happy and I have friends and family and rats I’ll be fine.

Ori

Where is the best place you’ve ever been?

Tenerife – we went to the top of a massive volcano and we were above the clouds. It literally felt like heaven, it was magical.

What’s your guiltiest pleasure?

It’s not that guilty but I’m a raging chocoholic. I can’t open a chocolate bar and just have a few squares.

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

I want to finish university and get a good enough grade to do a masters in Neuropsychology.

Reb

What 3 things can’t you live without?

My friends, probably tea…definitely tea and then books, or music… no put books. So basically what I cant live without is a book club!

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Maisie Williams, but only if Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is unavailable.

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

I’d love to work on a Greta Gerwig film

Grace

What’s been your worst style mistake?

Oh god everyday for me. I don’t really wear my own clothes, it was a know thing when I was growing up; Grace just borrows other people’s clothes. Actually it wasn’t that long ago, I wore like a really baggy jersey, leggings and bright yellow socks pulled up with white vans. And I was walking around thinking I look SO cool today and then I looked in a mirror…

What is your most treasured possession?

I’ve got a memory box at home that I recently went through when I was moving house. So I found a rose petal from a rose I was given on valentines day a year ago, loads of tram tickets with sentimental value and birthday cards from my Grandad. I add to it all the time so the Trof girls will probably all be in it soon.

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Adele Exarchopulos – my favourite film is Blue is the Warmest Colour

Hannah

What’s your most treasured possession?

Probably my dog, Kojo, he’s definitely the most expensive thing I’ve bought and he’s like my child.

Where do you think you’ll be in 10 years time?

I’d really love to be working for an overseas charity and I’d like to have lived in a few more places other than Birmingham and Manchester. And I think more than anything I hope I’m proud of what I’ve done between now and then.

 What’s you guiltiest pleasure?

I try quite hard to be vegetarian and I am most of the time but there have been a few hungover Saturdays where a chicken curry has been the only cure. And I do feel guilty – sorry chickens!

Em

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

I want to get a PHD and have my work published.

Who would play you in the film of your life?

I think Jennifer Lawrence would play me; she looks nothing like me but that queen is clumsy, can laugh at herself and often has a face like a slapped arse so could pull me off pretty well. Also her performance in Silver Linings Playbook was amazing!

Where do  you think you’ll be in 10 years time?

In 10 years I hope I’ll be living somewhere in Africa, studying conservation. Hopefully I’ll still have a base in Manchester though, I don’t want to leave this city behind.

Leah

Where is the best place you’ve been?

Probably San Diego, it’s the perfect mix of old and new. Everyone is really chilled out and it has the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten! Or Glastonbury!

What’s your most treasured possession?

This is lame, but I collect snow globes from the different places I visited when I was cabin crew and I’d be gutted if anything happened to them.

What’s your guiltiest pleasure?

Queer Eye… yaaaas hunny!
